Stickman Archer 2 Gameplay
There’s something quite satisfying about seeing stick people fall down a river in various realistic and awkward poses. Perhaps, the realistic ragdoll physics gives Stickman Archer 2 an immersive experience. This physics implementation method allows the stickmen to fall convincingly with their arms and legs swaying in random directions, thus the realism.
There may not be gore, but the uuuhs and ahhhs of the stickmen you shot with your flawless marksmanship give a glimmer of violence. Hence, this game is not for kids despite the deceptively innocent look of the stick archers. Nevertheless, Stickman Archer 2 is a great casual game for the right people.
You play as a monotone stickman that saved the devs some design cost without compromising gameplay. Your goal will vary depending on the mode you are playing, but, generally, you will be shooting at a target, whether it is an apple, a bottle, or your fellow stickman.
Single Player
Your speed and accuracy will be pitted against those of the AI. Spoiler alert: you are way much better than the AI. These bots are programmed to aim slowly and randomly, so the only way you will die early is if you are unlucky enough to get shot in the head. The more stickmen you defeat, the higher the score. In the end, you will be rewarded with gems which serve as the in-game currency.
Shoot the Apple
This mode is way more challenging than the default single player mode. You will have to shoot the bane of all archers – apples! While this may sound simple, the mode is actually insanely difficult because the apple is set above the head of a stickman. Needless to say, killing the stickman will result in a game over. Every time you hit the apples, the stickman is moved further, thus increasing the difficulty. Sooner or later, you will have to decide between shooting at higher angles for a safer shot or at lower angles for more accurate shots.
Shoot the Bottle
So you just saved Snow White the trouble of temporary death by shooting tons of apples so nothing is left for her to eat. You begin to crave for a higher difficulty level. The answer? Shoot the bottles! This mode features bottles being flung from the river. You have to hit them all. Miss three times and its game over. This mode is my personal favorite because it is the most challenging. It pisses me off when I have a two-digit score and somehow missed.
